I am plann to make a xD card mod. I am not sure about connecting the R/B signal to the xD card, as shown in the picture .

The soldering point for RB on the motherboard does not work at all. If we need connect R/B to xD card, is there any alternative soldering point?

thanks

I used the one shown, you just have to scrape it some before soldering, use some good flux too. Afterwards hotglue or tack down the wires so it doesn't break.

By the way, if you are trying to dual kernal XD and the onboard NAND, do you need to connect a resistor to the XD CE pin?

The firmware is simply the NAND dump to your Xbox 360.

I'm trying to do the XD card mod on a 512mb Jasper by using a 16mb XD card with xell för jasper 16mb. I've verified that the hack works by flashing the onboard nand with the jasper 512 xell dump.

The problem is that when I try to boot from the XD card nothing happens and I'm guessing I have to do some hardware modification for the xbox to accept the 16mb nand. I read somewhere that you have to move some resistors. Does anyone have more info on this?

Thanks

As what I know there is no way to do a raw write to a 512mb XD card (card tools only supports 16mb) + XBR is only available for jasper 16mb so far Wink

By card tools I mean the software written by warpjavier, see http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?topic=7683.msg47796#msg47796
and windows version http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?topic=7683.msg49689#msg49689

I use robinsods windows version to flash the XD-card.
http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?topic=7683.msg51356#msg51356

So I'm still looking for a way to use a 16mb flash on a 512mb jasper.

Not exist any other tools with RAW access to XD Cards ?
XD Reader + WinHex (Physical access) will not do the job ?

I think soon will see some nand rebuild tools for this...

No it will not. There are sectors where a normal card reader cannot access
