Sure they do, but I think he means the latest one that blocks homebrew. @oppegnagno: this is a forum, not a chatroom. it's not unusual for an answer to take a couple of days.

For those who have old dashboards and don't want the system update regardless of what it is, how is it removed from the ISO. I didn't see that functionality in any of the rippers and patchers.

sure you can.. the system update is on the disc, in the filesystem, right in the videosector... so why would it not be removable?
all you need to do is inject a video sector that is wave1 , or wave 2.. FIXED it would not be as stealth thou
ps, and if you don't know.. don't clutter the forum with useless posts (aka spam)

I've never thought about that Great idea! Then again, if you are planning to use a console for homebrew purposes, why would you even care about stealth/going on live anyways lol

Xexs have a minimum basekernel that they require. You can patch one byte of the iso's $ for $systemudpate and it should still boot.

Then again, if you are planning to use a console for homebrew purposes, why would you even care about stealth/going on live anyways lol Those are precisely my intentions. I have a console that for playing games that I intend to keep exploitable in case one day homebrew and gaming can be done together. I have never had any interest in Live whatsoever. I'd like to continue playing new games as they come out after they ship with the new dash. If the new games actually require the new dash API calls then I'm SOL but I'd like to get around that for as long as I can.
