iv just chipped an ver 1.0 xbox with an aladdin ex chip
seem to work upgraded the hardrive everythings a ok

but if iv leave th exbox on for longer than 2-3 mins the chip disables and
when i reset it refuses to come on and i have to leave it for at least an hour b4 its
on again


i tested for heat didnt seem warm

anybody got anyideas

also could someone tell me what the D0 and BT wires are for on the chip
i soldered in but dont know if i need them

Looking at Divineo's site... you NEED to solder d0 and BT... look at the install diagram. There's 4 wires.

Yes you need BT line to activate the chip on boot (when you do a long press on the power button) and you need the D0 line to disable the XBOX original bios and activate the hacked bios on the chip.

About your problem, 2 recommendations:
a) check for correct point conection on BT
b) check all your solder, maybe something is not soldered at all.

If the above things does not solve the problem then it is a faulty chip...  I have had the same problem in the past with several xboxes
