Download Link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/49402464/Schtrom360Xtract_V3.3.exe.html

Version 3.3 Release Date 17.08.2007
- new extraction style "whole disc (stealth xtreme 3.0 SplitVid)", this splits the video
part for layer 0 and layer 1, this seems to be the most exact method to extract an image
- new extraction styles for both video layers (videoL0.iso and videoL1.iso)
- extraction of both video layers from a "SplitVid" style image
- you can take a stealth xtreme 3.0 style backup disc and extract a new "SplitVid" style image
  directly from it
- you can extract the SplitVid video layers from a xtreme 3.0 image and inject them into the same
image later to convert it to SplitVid
- get region code directly from a disc
- the region code check gets also the game name based on the Media ID and the stealth.ini file
- save XDVDFS image and disc layout to a lyt file
- fixed XDVDFS XTR extraction, problems of some images like Star Trek Legacy
- fixed options dialog, custom drive letter is not loaded from ini
- fixed inquiry detection of SH-D163A without kreon firmware
- on extraction to non NTFS partitions only a warning msg is displayed, the task is not aborted
- xdvdfs wildcard extraction changed, use the following:
  - for a complete extraction leave the Wildcards edit control blank
  - for exact extraction
    - "\default.xex", only extract default.xex or Default.xex from the specified root path "\"
  - for wildcard extraction
    - "*.xml", extract all xml files and create the needed subfolders in the destination path
    - "*panel*.x?l", extract all panel files that have the extension x?l
- new stealth check function under the "Tools" menu, this should be used every time before burning an image
- stealth and crc32 check of images and backup discs possible
- the stealth.ini contains stealth verification data of most games out atm, after the stealth and crc check
of an image/disc the result is compared against the stealth.ini entries to find a match, if a match is
found you can be 100 % sure that the image/disc is completely stealth
- if there is no match found in the stealth.ini you can add the unknown image as a user entry
- stealth verification user entries can be exported/imported from/to the stealth.ini, this maybe helpful in the
future to keep the database up to date

Thanks for taking the time to keep updating your software!

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to the technical jargon used to describe making "stealth" backups with things like splitvid etc... So let me ask you this...

I am currently using the latest Xbox Backup Creator - mainly just because I'm used to the interface and can also burn with it - and because it keeps making me good backups.

Is there any advantage in security (stealthness?) or detection of backups on live, or any other advantage to using this new version, vs, using XboxBackupCreator?  The backups I've been making pass all the checks in Mulleter 9.7, so I would think they are ok correct?

I guess other then preference, what i'm asking is why I should use this vs Xbox Backup Creator?  Thanks in advance!

No, XBC and Mulleter are a perfect combination. But keep in mind that at the currently released XBC the stealth check is based on the same checks like S360X V3.2, maybe some more. Make sure you always check the extracted images with Mulleter or S360X V3.3. They calculate a CRC32 checksum of the image parts and can exactly tell which one is really stealth. Redline99, badsheepy, the stealth team and me have worked together to make the checks be similar, but it is as always possible that one check is superior over another in the future. So I still think it is better to have more than one tool to check for stealth and extract discs. This does also reduce the pressure on the developers. One of three tools will always have a fix for probs or work out of the box.

Hi, I am interested to learn what the best procedure would be for converting already written none-split video to split video.  Thanks, keep up the great work.

I thought there was some controversy regarding whether or not the firmware or backups should take care of splitting the video partition across the layers. And if I remember right, C4E mentioned that his firmware took care of this; thus there was no need for the backups to change. So why this change?  I'm curious about the technical reason.

Awesome update!
I made a mirror for those of you who can't access or dislike rapidshare:
http://www.file-upload.net/download-375894/Schtrom360Xtract_V3.3.exe.html

The only thing that lacks is automatic uploading of stealth/crc data to the online DB whenever a non-verified retail game is ripped.
We clearly need a way to automate the verification process for new games and putting it into the ripping process (optional) would ensure that.

For discs you only need to insert the xtreme 3 style disc and choose SplitVid as extraction style. For xtreme 3 images you need to extract the videoL0 and videoL1 files and inject them back into the same image. You'll get a SplitVid this way.

Yeah, right. C4e locks the ranges down. So an xtreme 3 and SplitVid disc should appear as the same to the box. This change is mainly implemented to give the opportunity for SplitVid if someday this is needed. This could be also helpful for other hackers, not only users, to do some tests on the original XBOX disc layout. There is definitely no need to get in panic about the new format. The xtreme 3 style images have the same stealthness! So there is no need to reburn all discs.

I will leave this to badsheepy and his mulleter. He and Man1fest do a great job in maintaining the stealth database and scripting the checks for the uploaded checksums. The verification process is very complex and they need more than one time the same checksums before the game is considered stealth.

Including the crc checks into the ripping process slows down the extraction speed too much. There is also the high risk that the extraction code would break. Always remember: I am only a hobby coder and noobs can break code easily! Wink

The ISO format is not "stealthy" on pre iXtreme firmwares. This new SplitVid format with be stealthy on both pre iXtreme (5.3 and lower) and iXtreme firmwares. So this format has the best compatibility as it works for both. If you don't use the iXtreme, Hitachi included, then there is a level of risk.  But also I don't know of MS actually looking at the video partition right now anyways.  As with anything the choice is yours, we just help provide the options.

Nice work Schtrom, I'll have to check out the new release when I get back...  Wink

I've helped out in the Stealth360 project so I know the potential problems. However I don't believe the DB can be maintained manually as it is done now. At some point we'll need a simple upload/download feature to ensure that new games get added in a timely manner.

I would have assumed that CRC checking could be done "on-the-fly" since CRC32 shouldn't take too much CPU power. But if that isn't possible you could always do a prompt after ripping if a game is not verified yet. Something like "Please help the community by uploading the stealth information of this disk! Yes/No".

The main problem he is that most people don't give a $#!t about verification. It would have prevented plenty of bans if it had been introduced earlier.

First let me thank Schtrom and everybody contributing to the scene, then I just want to point out a small problem with the latest release (3.3): I noticed that when creating a stealth splitvid image of any of my original games the Cpu usage goes steadily to 50% (I have a core2duo processor running @3,2ghz) and the mouse pointer moves slowly and choppy as if huge resources are being used to do the job. Moreover the process take a lot of time. I really do not care about these small problems, I am only reporting to let shtrom know. Thank you for your support. cheers!

This can't be related to the SplitVid method, cause the extraction routine didn't change much. Is V3.2 still working and is the V3.3. prob reproducable more than one time? I saw the same probs if a driver was intefering with the DVD-ROM e.g. AnyDVD, virtual drives, and so on. If this error is reproduceable, when did it start to slow down? Any error msg during extraction? Also a bad disc could be a reason for the strange behaviour...

I know this sounds hard, but if I would get such a prob I first try to reinstall Windows and then try again without any drivers installed. I had some issues in the past with NVidia IDE drivers. They changed read bytes from the disc during transfer and yes it was reproduceable more than one time. If I reverted the system back to MS IDE drivers it worked. Also keep in mind that this tool is far from being perfect! Wink

Thanks for details

I did a fresh Windows install and do not installed any Intel chipset driver. The slowdown occurred as soon as extraction started. It was less noticeble but it was there. Extraction process completed in 45'35" (I made a legit backup of my just opened copy of Two Worlds, so the disc was in superb conditions).

Sorry for the delay, been busy lately.
Thanks for trying a reinstall. Now a few questions:
- What drive do you use?
- Have you tested XBC? Has it the same probs?
- Have you tried the old style ripping with isobuster? Does that also slow down?
- Maybe pm me a compressed log file...

Hi Schtrom !

Thanks for you soft. I hope the stealth check will work fine now, because the 3.2 version had some problems with injection if I believe Stealth Checking softwares.

I know the polemic about the video split, but I wanted to create a good backup. I tried what you proposed upper, but unfortunately, my videol1.iso is wrong. I found nowhere where to download it and so, I can't create a splitvid backup (no one of my backups has a layer1 video in fact.... erm ^^).

Do you have another way to create it (from the video.iso for instance ?) ?

Thanks for your anwser and best wishes for the next.

Cordially!

Sorry for the delay. Here are the answers to what you asked:

-I use a Samsung SH-D162C TS04 with kreon 0.81 set as slave (I have a Pioneer 112D as master in the same IDE channel)
-I tried to do the same backup with XBC (latest available version 2.5) with NO problems (Cpu usage stays as low as 2-6% and Pc operations are smooth as oil)
-Where can I find the log file you requested?

Hope this helped and above all thank you thank you thank you for your interest in this, but I do not want you to waste your precious time with me if it's only a problem of mine since as you certainly know Pc configurations can be so different...

You should be able to insert the backup disc in xtreme 3.0 style and extract a SplitVid image from it directly. If you use a backup disc you can simply do this with any DVD-ROM drive.

...since as you certainly know Pc configurations can be so different...
Yeah, don't talk about that! Wink

Maybe try disconnecting the Pioneer and setting the SH-D162C as a master. But if it works with XBC the chance that this will work is not very high. You can activate the log under options menu. Restart S360X after that and do immediately the task that issued the probs. Now you should have a log file in the S360X directory. Pack it and upload it to a file hoster. Send me the link and I'll try to look into it. Smiley
If you don't wanna go through all this simply use XBC instead. Redline99 did great work on that one!

Thanks for your time and your kindness Schtrom. Smiley

I tried this from an image, not a CD backup.... ^^ :p

About the splitvid, what is the end of the story : is it necessary to use it or still in discution ?

Morever, I have a 4552 kernel, with ixtreme 1.0, (never connected to the Live). So, maybe it is to late anyway because of my old backups ?!!

What should I do please? Reburn everythings ?  Huh

Thanks for your anwsers.  Kiss
