Just want to inform you that there might be another ban wave. Up untill an hour again I was playing Ace Combat on live, and now I'm banned. Updated to Ixtreme 1.4 when it got out. Had Ixtreme 1.3 before that, and 5.2 and 5.3 before that one. Escaped the previous 2 banhammers. Oh well, without disappointment, you can't appreciate victory.

This info you provided is simply no help at all...
You realize it is solely the backusp your getting banned? How about you see if that Ace Combat game had a bad ss.bin by ripping with DvdMuelleter and check the ss.bin with the Kreon Checker...? Or maybe you can check what games you were playing that had a bad ss.bin when you had 1.3? There has been some confirmation from some members they got banned after playing a game.
So instead of saying theres a new ban perhaps you can tell in detail of what happened.

I checked most of the games I play after the situation w/ the kreon rips got aware. Ace Combat is fine according to DVDmuelleter and Kreon Checker. Ace Combat is the only game I have played on live since updating to Ixtreme 1.4, and It was only today for less than 30 minutes.
Other games I played on 1.3 in the last couple of weeks are:
PES 08 - Fine - Basically all the time in the weekends since it got out
Fifa 08 - Fine - Every now and then
Assasins Creed - Fine - For quite some time
WSOP 2008 - Fine - Few times every other week
3 weeks ago or more
Mass Effect - Bad Rip - For maybe 3 hours when it got out
Call of duty - Bad Rip - For a couple of weeks
Halo 3 - Bad Rip - for about 2 week after it got released
Blacksite Area 51 - Bad - For about a week
Soldier of Fortune - Good -
Those are the games I played for the last 2 months or so.

ok thanks mate  . So that confirms either a) maybe the ban is not directly connected with the faulty ss.bin if your banned now after 3 weeks ago with bad rips b)or maybe Microsoft recorded that 3-4 weeks ago games youve played that were bad and banned you now. Your drive is samsung right? Also any games played after 1.4 update? |

Yeah my drive is a samsung ms28.
The only game I played after the 1.4 update is Ace Combat. Today was the first time I played on my xbox since the update. Other than that I just watched movies with it after the update.
The day before the 1.4 update got available I played PES 08, and during that week some FIFA..
Another game I also played is Madden 08 that I forgot about, but that game also reported stealth on both Kreon Checker and muelleter, so that shouldn't be the problem then.

Easy. You were flaggend under 1.3 with COD4, Halo 3 etc. online weeks ago and now they ban ya. It has nothing to do with 1.4, Ace Combat etc. probably. |

Or it could be someone spreading misinformation Could be also. That's the good thing of these boards. If something is structural and not an isolated case, there is more 'proof'. Plus, this guy really can be flagged before and just banned now. Last bans in May MS also banned in waves, while probably they detected all of those people earlier in the process. |

To me it looks like they find a detection method, implement it, leave it for a while, and mass ban. Then modded consoles detected with this ban method after this are banned straight away. I don't think they flag a console and leave it for a week or two to ban it, it doesn't really make sense to do that. Unless they need to wait to gather enough suspicious attempts before they can verify it is modded, but I don't think they'd need to do this either.

Yes it DOES make sense. It gives more difficult for those that are searching why the bannings occur and no clear pattern in what and how the banned consoles used which drive, which firmware and got banned over what kind of backup exactly. Thus: flagging a console: smart from MS if they do |

Well a friend of mine in Britian just got banned today, he claims he didn't play any games that weren't good rips, but hes not exactly the smartest when it comes to this stuff |

He doesn't check any stealth or Kreon Checker etc. Plays before release, PAL/NTSC and he's survived both bans.  |
