Benq iXtreme 1.41 Rev 2 Non-Stealth Multispeed

The Non-Stealth users of the Benq iXtreme firmware only had one choice speed wise when they chose the Non-Stealth firmware and that was 8x.  This package gives users of Benq iXtreme Non-Stealth the choice to use whatever speed they prefer (2x, 5x, 8x, 12x). 

This is NOT an update to iXtreme firmware for Benq users...this is merely an update to the Non-Stealth version which only provides different speed choices NOTHING else. 

Credit goes to C4E and others, it was named Rev 2 to avoid confusion.

Can someone explain to me the difference between stealthed and non stealthed firmware?

I'm guessing it's whether or not the firmware tries to hide from detection on XBox Live.  If that's the case, why would anyone want non-stealthed?  Greater compatibility?

to run old, "bad" images that are lacking the stealth features. which will result in a ban from live.

I must have the stealthed BIOS, as I modified my firmware some time ago, and had a selection of speeds.

Would my XBox only play stealthed images/games?

Where can I read more on this?

its all a bit unpredictable...all it means is microsoft has less chance of banning you if you have the latest firmware as the stealthed firmware only plays games that pass the stealth checks (everything seems legit) but a friend of mine has one of the first firmwares and still not banned so there seems to be a bit more to it
also I got a 360 a month or two ago and took it out the box and updated the firmware and a couple of weeks later I got a email from microsoft saying something along the lines of...this is a confirmation of your xbox live being cancelled..so i assume im banned? never really checked it out as im not botherd either way.

no. MS doesn't ban accounts, they ban the console. the account remains valid and can be used on another console.
chances are you got a free gold month when you created your account, and that expired.
